A nErDcamp is an unconference or Edcamp with a focus on literacy. It is based on the original #nErDcampMI's model and the Nerdy Bookclub. An "unconference" is a free, participant driven learning and networking experience that is designed by you and includes the topics you want to discuss. During the first 30 minutes the morning of the event, a session board is filled with different topics by the nErDcamp attendees. Participants are encouraged to "vote with their feet" and it is acceptable to move on if the session doesn't meet your needs. Many times there are multiple sessions that you would like to attend!
If you love reading and sharing books and will drive miles and stand in long lines to meet authors & illustrators, join us virtually for #nErDcampCT on June 13, 2020!

nErDcamp is an “unconference,” based on the EDcamp model, but with a focus on literacy in learning. It is dubbed “nErDcamp” in a nod to the online movement known as #nerdybookclub and to appeal to the book nerds we are all proud to be.
An unconference differs from a traditional conference because the topics and sessions are determined and led by the participants. It is an opportunity for attendees to share their expertise and learn from each other. There are no exhibitors or commercial components. We have made a conscious decision to be swag-free (though we will have giveaways!). Our focus is on sharing and learning!
