NerdcampCT 2020 FAQs

Q: I’ve never attended a Nerdcamp before. How does it work?
A: Check out our intro video and our What is nErDcamp page. 
. 
Q: Will the sessions be recorded? 
A: Some sessions will be recorded and available on the nErDcampCT and CASL websites. These sessions are red on the schedule.

Q: How can I get a copy of the featured books? Or a book signed by an author?
A: Our Ordering books page has everything you need to know. We encourage you to visit your local independent bookstore in-person or online. 

Q: What if I have technical difficulties?
A: June 10 at both 11am and 1pm there are Office Hours to ask tech questions.

Q: What happens if I can't get into the Google Meet?
A: Contact the organizers at nerdcampct@gmail.com and someone will help you.

Q: What does the schedule look like?
A: Here is a link to the schedule. We will begin adding more beginning June 10. In the meantime, please add your thoughts/ideas to the Idea board padlet.

Q: What is the difference between a panel and a session?
A: A panel has been organized ahead of time about a specific topic. There will be a moderator asking the authors questions and the audience will listen and submit questions through the chat. A session will be a conversation between participants who are interested in that topic. 

Q: What happens if I am unable to participate that day?
A: If you are no longer able to join us on Saturday, June 13th, please let us know because we have a waiting list of interested participants. We are getting very excited and can’t wait to see you on the 13th. Email us at nerdcamptct@gmail.com

​Q: I paid to donate a book(s). Who benefits from the donation?
A: We are working to identify the best group with which to partner. We have over $1400 in donations!

Q: How do I know if I am registered?
A: You should have received an email confirming registration. If you have not received any emails at the address you registered with, please contact us at nerdcampct@gmail.com.

Q: Can I get a certificate of participation?
A: Certificates will be emailed out to all registrants by June 20.
